We are Victorians, through and through. Our shop has been a staple in the downtown community for over 40 years, and we are so proud to call this place our home.
It’s important not to take for granted the place you live, and the things you love about it – although it’s easy for us all to do when we get caught up in the day-to-day. That’s why we really enjoyed Richard Watts’ piece: “Two Dozen Things We Love About This Place”, recently featured in the Times Colonist over a series of 24 weeks, as a great reminder of how truly unique our city is.
From iconic locales like the Union Club (#10), to lesser known but equally special destinations like Panama Flats (#8), the series covers a wide spectrum of the things and places that make Victoria so remarkable (although missing for us, however, were the Empress Hotel and the Galloping Goose!). When you step back and think about it, there really is no other place on Earth quite like Victoria – and we are so thankful to be a part of it.
What are your favourite things about Victoria? Did they make the list?
