Last week, we repaired a transmission for Watoto Canada, an organization which provides aid to orphaned and vulnerable women and children in Africa.
Boy did they bring a new definition to “happy customer” when, to our surprise, their entire African choir filled our office and sang to us in their native language as a thank you! It caught us completely off guard, and even brought a few of us to tears. It was so humbling and moving to see the big smiles and wonderful attitudes of these young people who have already faced such adversity in their short lives. In that moment, they made us forget about (our version of) stress… and reminded us to appreciate the little things in life, for they are really the big things.
