Investing in the future

Corporate citizenship and giving back to the community around us has always been a very important part of our business. This year, we were looking for a way to make a difference that would have a lasting impact. We decided what better way to do this than by making our roads safer for years to come, by educating the next generation of drivers to be safe, responsible, and savvy motorists? Born out of our popular Ladies Night concept, our first annual Teen Auto Education Day will be held on September 14, 2013.

Teen Day will be an opportunity for new or soon-to-be drivers to practice driving on a simulator, learn basic car maintenance, and pick up crucial road safety tips that may just save their lives one day. Topped off with a BBQ and contests, we wanted to make the event free to ensure that as many teens as possible could benefit.

We are so proud to be a part of this, and we couldn’t do it alone. We’d like to thank our hosting partner, DriveWise BC, as well as Victoria Police Department and ICBC for their support, and also our sponsors: Tru Value Foods, KoolFM, CFAX, Island Blue, Creative Juices, and SNAP Magazine; for making this unique event possible.

When we approached these other organizations to join us, we were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and generosity of others who believe in the cause and want to lend a hand. Thanks for reminding us of the very definition of “community”.
