Victoria Transmission & Auto Care Holding Ribbon-Signing Campaign in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 3, 2011

Victoria Transmission & Auto Care is pleased to announce that it will be holding a month-long campaign to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Community members are encouraged to sign a 6.5 ft by 6.5 ft poplin poster, on display in the waiting room area, where signatures will eventually form the shape of the classic pink ribbon; and to make donations. A webcam will capture live footage of the poster, displaying progress on the Victoria Transmission & Auto Care website, as the pink ribbon takes shape. This is an act that looks to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness. It’s so important that people are educated about cancer as this illness can have devastating impacts for families. This is why charities look to raise awareness to ensure people are aware of the symptoms and signs. There are so many ways for other companies to do this.

Co-owner Adam Sullivan says, “As a female-friendly and community-focused shop, we are excited to offer customers and members of the local community the opportunity to support a great cause. We hope this will encourage other businesses in the region to get involved.”

To make a donation and sign the pink ribbon, anyone is welcome to stop by the shop, located at 1885 Government Street. More information on this campaign can be found at www.VicTrans.com
