Sign of the times: Our Pink Ribbon Poster Raises $6,600
We’re thrilled to let you know our Pink Ribbon Poster has raised $6,600 for the BC Cancer Foundation. A cheque was presented to Tracy Ryan of BC Cancer Foundation on December 1, 2011. Thanks to our in-store poster webcam, the campaign has attracted interest not just in our own community but from as far away as Australia, NZ and Europe! And we couldn’t be happier.
A big “VicTrans Thank You” to all of our customers who contributed to the success of this campaign!
Meanwhile, still on the theme of giving back to the community, we’re changing gears: In our new campaign, the Mustard Seed Food Bank will receive $25 for every Transmission Service between now and January 31, 2012.
Simply the best…Ladies Nights in town!

You may have already heard about Victoria Transmission’s popular Ladies Nights. But what you may not know is that ours are the only Ladies Nights where women work on their own vehicles!
Seems like a no-brainer to us, and we kind of wonder what goes on elsewhere, but if you want to learn about how to look after your car in our minds the only way is to get your hands dirty. (According to the ladies we’ve hosted, it’s also way more fun!)
If you haven’t come to one of our Ladies Nights, and you’re interested in learning about car care, in a fun, friendly, supportive environment, sign up here for the next one, coming this April…
Time to get clicking!
If you haven’t already done so, one of the many reasons to head on over to the new victrans.com website is to visit our Knowledge Centre. Here you’ll find Tips and Tricks designed to help you keep your vehicle out of the shop (yikes, what are we thinking?!) and find answers to your frequently asked questions. It’s a really handy, one-stop source for information about your car.
And don’t stop at our website… While our Knowledge Centre offers a goldmine of information in text form, our VicTrans YouTube Channel is the place to go to see your FAQs answered in a series of helpful, informative videos. And there are a bunch of new ones up every month – so be sure to keep coming back!
Meet the people who look after your vehicle!
Introducing: Gary Gronow
Title: Customer Service Manager
Time with Victoria Transmission: 22 years
Customer Service Philosophy: Treat customers the way that you want to be treated yourself – with honour and respect.
Of Interest: I started working here back in the late 80s. It’s truly gratifying to see third-generation families now coming into the shop.
Reality: Having your vehicle repaired can be stressful and intimidating. We’re here to help ease you through the process and offer you as many options as possible.
Advice: It will cost you a lot more to repair your vehicle than to maintain it. Preventative maintenance will save you a lot of expense over time – especially when it comes to your transmission.
At Victoria Transmission, winter means free inspections and a $25 donation
With winter on the doorstep, we are pleased to offer our imaginatively-named “Winter 2011/2012 Offer”! In fact, we like the name so much, if you say “Winter 2011/2012 Offer” when making an appointment for any automotive service, you’ll receive:
- Complimentary 37 point BCAA safety inspection of your entire vehicle
- Complimentary winterization check of your whole cooling system, including fluids, belts, and hoses
- Complimentary assessment of your full battery and charging system, to make sure you get where you’re going
AND if you bring your vehicle in for a transmission service by January 31, 2012, Victoria Transmission will make a $25 donation to the Mustard Seed Food Bank!
So, give us a call, or click here to make an appointment, today!
